How medals work
Medals show how well you know the items of a state. You keep every medal you earn — they are never taken away, and you can retake any test as often as you like. You need a free account, so your medals have somewhere to live.
Every state has four tests, using photos of the items that live there. Pass one and the medal is yours.
Bronze
10 photos · 7 right to pass
Silver
15 photos · 12 right to pass
Gold
every one of the state's items (at least 20 photos) · 90% right to pass
Expert
25 photos · 24 right to pass · 6 look-alike answers
Expert is the hard one: six answer choices instead of four, and the wrong answers are the look-alikes people confuse with the right one.
A higher medal gives you the lower ones. Pass Gold in a state and Bronze and Silver come with it.
Test numbers can change as the site grows; this page always shows the current ones. Bronze · Silver · Gold · Expert
