Terms of Service

Learn2ID.com (“Learn2ID”, “the site”) is operated by UP2U LLC (“we”), a Texas limited liability company. By using the site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree to them, please do not use the site.

The site is free, and educational

Learn2ID is free to use and paid for by advertising. It is for education and entertainment, it is not always right, and it is not a reference to rely on or professional advice of any kind — please read our disclaimer, which forms part of these terms.

Your account

• Give us an email address that is really yours, and keep your password private.
• You are responsible for what happens under your account.
• One account per person. Do not create accounts to inflate scores.
• You must be 13 or older to create an account.
• You can delete your account at any time by emailing us.

Fair play

Medals and the ID Reviewer badge are meant to be earned. Do not use scripts, bots or automated tools to play, and do not exploit bugs to win. We may remove medals, badges or leaderboard entries that were not earned honestly, and we may close accounts that keep doing it.

What you may not do

• Choose a display name that is offensive, impersonates someone, or advertises something.
• Copy the site’s content in bulk, scrape it, or use it to train a model.
• Interfere with the site, its security, or other people’s use of it.
• Use the site for anything unlawful.

Photographs and content

The photographs on Learn2ID belong to the photographers who took them, and are used under the Creative Commons licences those photographers chose. Each photo shows its credit and licence. If you want to reuse a photo, follow its licence — our permission is not ours to give.

The written descriptions, the look of the site, its name and its software belong to us. If you are a photographer and want a photo credited differently or taken down, email us and we will deal with it promptly.

Help Me ID This

• IDs from members are their opinions. We do not guarantee that any ID is correct, and we cannot review everything members post. Use them at your own discretion and risk.
• Comments may not give bite or medical advice. If someone has been bitten, get medical help.
• Only post photos you took, or ones you have permission to share.
• By posting a photo, you let Learn2ID show it and use it in quizzes and lessons, with credit to you.
• We may hide or remove any photo or comment, and limit commenting for members who break these rules.

What you send us

When you report a photo or send us a correction, you allow us to use what you sent to improve the site. Do not send us anything you do not have the right to share.

Advertising

The site carries advertising. We do not control what the ads say and we do not endorse the products in them. Anything you buy from an advertiser is between you and them.

No warranty

Learn2ID is provided as it is. We do not promise that it will always be available, that it will be free of errors, or that any identification on it is correct.

Limit of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, UP2U LLC is not liable for any injury, loss or damage arising from your use of Learn2ID or from reliance on anything on it. Some of what we cover can hurt you, so this is not a small point — please read the disclaimer.

Ending access

You may stop using the site and delete your account whenever you like. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed, and continuing to use the site means you accept the new version.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas and of the United States, without regard to conflict of law rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Texas.
